Exhibitors are invited to take part in the parade of vintage vehicles in the Main Ring during show day.
Rules of Exhibiting
Exhibits must be presented in a clean and safe working condition.
All vehicles and working machines, including vehicles which are not self-propelled, must be insured against third party risks whilst on the showground. Please ensure that your policy covers off road and display usage.
Steam engines and exhibits with pressure boilers or vessels must ensure that they are in receipt of their insurance certificate and annual boiler inspection.
Exhibitors must ensure that all drivers of exhibits not excluded from use on the public highway, meet the requirements of The Road Traffic Act and conditions of the Licensing Authority (no underage drivers) for the class of vehicle involved. No exhibit is to be left running in the control of a person unable to stop or control it in an emergency.
Please note that it is illegal for anyone under the age of 13 to drive or ride on an agricultural vehicle. Under no circumstances may pedestrians ride on wheel arches, foot plates, linkage or tow bars of vehicles
Any static exhibit with exposed moving parts shall be operated behind a barrier - a risk assessment is required for this type of display (resource: http://www.ntet.co.uk/owners-drivers/risk-assessments/)
Totnes and District Show reserve the right to request copies of documentation associated with the vehicle, its use or its safety.
Exhibitors will operate their exhibit during the event and comply with the instructions of the Stewards
All exhibits must be in place by 08:30 and not leave the showground until after the main ring vehicle parade. No vehicle movement is permitted unless to take part in the main ring parade.
Showground speed limits must be always adhered to.
In the event of a dispute the Show Director’s decision is final.
