Horticultural & Industrial Marquee

Show Description

1. All exhibits to be the work of the exhibitor and must not have won previously at this show.
2. The committee do not hold themselves responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits but every reasonable care will be taken.
3. No entry form is required for Children’s entries and there is no entry deadline.
4. All exhibitors including children will be issued with exhibit labels (from the secretary or via schools) prior to show day, please ensure all information is completed and it is staged with each exhibit.
5. All exhibitors with 5 paid entries or more will be entitled to one half price admission ticket. All exhibitors with 20 paid entries or more will be entitled to one free admission ticket. Admission fees must be sent with the entry form so that wristbands can be issued before the show. This is only applicable to full price admissions (excluding concessions).
6. No prize shall be awarded unless pronounced to be of sufficient merit.
7. No exhibit can be exhibited for more than one of the Society’s Premiums (Special Prizes excepted).
8. All entries to be staged by 9.40am prompt. The marquee will be closed from 9.45am to 12.45pm for judging. It will close again at 4.15pm, for 15mins, after which time exhibitors must remove their exhibits. Exhibits not collected by 5.00pm are left at owner’s risk. NO EXHIBITS TO BE REMOVED BEFORE 4.30pm.
9. Exhibits for classes 2 to 8, 16 to 19, 28 to 31 and 35 to 36 must be handed to Children’s Committee members or brought to the Show field by 4.15pm the day before the show as these will be mounted onto the display boards.
10. All garments, etc, offered for competition are to remain unwashed as when finished in school.
11. Entries for handwriting and photographs must not be mounted unless stated.
12. No exhibit to exceed the size stated in the description, including mount.
13. Presentation of the cups at 4pm.
14. All Prize Money to be collected in the Marquee at 4.30pm on presentation of prize card.
15. Scoring is as follows: 4 points, 1st; 3 points, 2nd; 2 points, 3rd; 1 point, 4th.
