Skelton Show Horses Section 2025
All competitors must bring their horse passports to the Secretary’s tent for inspection when collecting their show numbers – no exceptions please.
Passports will be checked at the Secretary’s tent upon arrival.
It is important to bring all your own tack, buckets etc to avoid sharing with other horses. Nose-to-nose contact with other horses should be avoided and prevent your horse from grazing at the show.
If your horse is showing any signs of ill-health, do not bring them to the show please.
• Entries must be in the hands of the Equestrian Secretary by FRIDAY 20th JUNE 2025; late entries will not be accepted.
• Online entries available at www.skeltonshow.com • Entry Fees £15 including VAT UNLESS STATED NEXT TO CLASS
• Please ensure cheques are made payable to ‘Skelton Show’.
• No entries will be accepted unless on the correct ‘Horse Classes Only’ official entry form and all
fees must be paid at time of entry.
• All exhibitor numbers will be available at the Equestrian Secretary’s tent on show day, please ensure the correct number is being worn for the correct class.
• Show and vehicle passes are not required.
• Only trailers and wagons will be allowed on the show field, cars will be required to park in the allocated car parks, please ensure all of your
equipment is with you.
• Please check your relevant section for judging commencement times.
• Competitors who are eligible for the Grand Parade please check your classes and be at main ring for 1.30pm to Parade at 2.30pm.
• Trophies will be available from the Equestrian Secretary’s Tent. Please bring your completed cup card with you.
• If your trophy is to be presented in the Grand Parade you will receive a cup card advising you as such.
• Grand Parade Trophy Winners – Please hand in your completed cup card and ensure you have someone with you to collect your trophy at the time of presentation if you are unable to carry it yourself.
• Perpetual Cup Winners are responsible for the safe keeping and return of the Cups to the Society not later than the following show day.
• Horse exhibitors are requested not to exhibit any animal with ‘The Cough’. The Hon. Vet has authority to request the exhibitor of any animal reported coughing on the field to withdraw immediately.
• Handlers of a Lead Rein pony in any section must be 16 years of age and over as of 1st January in the current year.
• All ridden horses and ponies to be 4 years old and over.
• Rosettes to 6th place.

• Flu Vaccinations – Horses must have been vaccinated to comply with the requirements of the primary course (1st vaccine and then 2nd vaccination 21-92 days later) followed by the first booster (150-215 days) and all subsequent boosters. Horses may compete having received the primary course and prior to the first booster but not within 7 days of arriving at the show. PLEASE NOTE HORSES MUST HAVE BEEN VACCINATED WITHIN 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE SHOW BUT NOT LESS THAN 7 DAYS OF ARRIVING AT THE SHOW.

Heavy Horses, Hunters x 2, Sports Horse x 2, Coloured Horse/Pony, Fell Pony, Shetland Pony x 2, Mountain & Moorland x 3 for the Denise Richardson Simone Trophy
SASH & CASH PRIZE OF £100 FOR CHAMPION
SASH & CASH PRIZE OF £50 FOR RESERVE
