We are delighted to announce that the Castlemilk Moorit National Show will be taking place on Thursday 31st July and we look forward to welcoming the breed exhibitors to our Show.
We are pleased to give the following information for the 2025 Sheep section:
We are able to continue to provide sheep penning and camping at no cost to exhibitors, however there is a small increase in entry fees to cover the continuing raising costs of marquees, services etc. Whilst there is no charge, please ensure you let us know the quantity of pens as an additional extra when making your entries.
Tuesday Entries are for Maedi Visna Accredited Sheep only and these may arrive after 2.00pm on Monday 28th July and remain until Tuesday 5.30 pm.
Wednesday and Thursday Entries of Non-MV Accredited sheep (with the exception for the Non MV Dorset Horn/Poll Dorset, Valais Blacknose and Pairs and Groups) will not be permitted access until 7:00pm on Tuesday 29th July and any early arrivals will be directed to a holding area.
We are holding qualifying classes for the RBST Young Shepherd of the Year on Thursday and we look forward to welcoming Young Shepherds to these classes.
Following the success of the camping for exhibitors in the dedicated Sheep Camping area at the back of the showground, we will continue to provide this facility free of charge.
The Best Pen of The Day will be awarded to the shepherd in charge of the tidiest and best presented/most informative pen.
Wristbands for entry to the Showground/Livestock section will be issued on the following sliding scale
1 Entry - 1 Wristband
2 - 5 Entries - 2 Wristbands
6 - 8 Entries - 3 Wristbands
9 plus Entries - 4 Wristbands
