The challenge in this Class for the donkey is:
Walk around the ring with competitor without stopping:
Donkey called forward and stands still for 15 seconds while competitor steps away
Competitor has to lift front hooves one at a time for 10 seconds
Donkey with competitor has to trot a small circle
Donkey with competitor has to execute a reverse walk
Each part of the challenge is awarded 5 Points down to 1 Point depending on how well the challenge is completed. Points will be totalled at the end of the Class. If there is a draw with Points, the Judge will award 1 point so donkeys can be placed 1st to 6th.
Mares 5 years old and over who have had foals, and Broodmares 5 years old and over with own foal at foot.

Miniature donkey of any age – no stallions or colts

Donkey of any age and either sex - entries will be judged against the clock in a pre-determined course.

The donkey with exhibitor will be asked to walk over poles, over 2 small jumps, weave in between poles, walk between 2 rows of bunting, go through a garden arch, walk between 2 large plant pots, around a brightly coloured carrot tree, under a line of balloon carrots and end the course through a garden gate. “Time” faults (10 seconds per fault) will be added if an obstacle is not completed.
Some of the course will be set up outside the ring on the day so that donkeys can practice.
Points will be awarded: 1st/24 Points; 2nd/22 Points; 3rd/20 Points; 4th/18 Points; 5th/16 Points; 6th/14 Points; 7th/12 Points; 8th/10 Points; 9th/8 Points; 10th/6 Points.
