Art Classes

There are four adult classes and one youth class to choose from. Each picture MUST be properly framed and must not exceed 76cm (30 inches) in either dimension. Unframed canvas blocks are acceptable.

Class: A1 Monochrome (one colour or black & white)
Prizes: 1st - £20, 2nd - £15 and 3rd - £10

Class: A2 Polychrome (multi colours) – Oil or Acrylic Single Media
Prizes: 1st - £20, 2nd - £15 and 3rd - £10
Price: £3.00
Class: A3 Polychrome (multi colours) – All Other Single Media
Prizes: 1st - £20, 2nd - £15 and 3rd - £10
Price: £3.00
Class: A4 Collage & Mixed Media
Prizes: 1st - £20, 2nd - £15 and 3rd - £10
Price: £3.00
Class: A5 Youth Class (16-18 years) – Any media using the theme YOUR LOCAL LANDSCAPE
Description:

Note: Under 16’s may compete in photography classes or age specific art classes in the Horticultural Marquee or if they would prefer, may enter the adult classes in the Art & Photography Exhibition, but they will be judged along with the adults and they will be judged on ability not age.

Photography Classes

Each photograph MUST be properly framed. The size of the frame should not exceed 60cm x 50cm for a landscape or portrait photograph and 50cm x 50cm for a square photograph.

Description:

A photograph to capture character and/or behaviour of the subject.

Class: P2 Landscape/Seascape
Description:

A photograph to embody the spirit of the outdoors that carries a sense of being there to see something incredible.

Prizes: 1st - £20, 2nd - £15 and 3rd - £10

Class: P3 Black & White
Description:

A photograph of any subject but presented as a Black & White print.

Prizes: 1st - £20, 2nd - £15 and 3rd - £10
Price: £3.00
Class: P4 Macro
Description:

A photograph of a small item/items presented larger than life.

Prizes: 1st - £20, 2nd - £15 and 3rd - £10
Price: £3.00
Class: P5 Youth Class (16-18 years) Title for the photograph: YOUR LOCAL LANDSCAPE
Description:

It can be black & white or colour, see description for Landscape/Seascape above. Any outdoor scene or view that is local to where you live e.g. your garden, a park, a street near where you live.
